At present the Company, strategically located at Naroda area where all manufacturing processes for processing of Components i.e. manufacturing of Grey Cast Iron (CI), Graded Casting Spheroidal Graphite cast Iron (S G) Iron Casting and S G Graded Casting are done under one roof and are made to perform to deliver finished goods of highest quality acceptable to valuable customers.

The work is logically compartmentalized to achieve perfection. Each department is headed by a supervisor to control and coordinate the production activity of each department towards the final output. With sufficient staff and man force the focus is on achieving best possible quality through stringent control on repeatability of manufacturing process.


Cupola Furnace :

A typical operation cycle for a cupola consists of closing and propping the bottom hinged doors and preparing a hearth bottom. The bottom is generally made from low strength moulding sand and slopes towards a tapping hole. Then a fire is ignited in the hearth using light weight timber and coke is charged on top of the fire and is burnt by increasing the air draught from the tuyeres. Once the coke bed is ignited and of the required height, alternate layers of metal, flux and coke are added until the level reaches the charged doors. The metal charge consists of pig iron, scrap steel and domestic returns.

Induction Furnace :

The principle of induction melting is that a high voltage electrical source from a primary coil induces a low voltage, high current in the metal or secondary coil. Induction heating is simply a method of transferring heat energy. Induction furnaces are ideal for melting and alloying a wide variety of metals like CRC+SGIRR+ Carbon+ Ferrosilicon that has minimum melt losses, however, little refining of the metal is possible.

Pattern, Mold and Core Design :

Pattern, Mold and core design mainly involves orientation and parting. The parting line is characterized by designs of patterns and cores, number of voids in the mold, feeders' location, and orientation of the part and locations of channels of gating, cooling and venting. Orientation and parting line- A parting line is generally defined as the part of the mold that divides the segments to create cavities with the mold section and remove the end product from its mold as in die casting.

Fettling Finishing :

Fettling is the process by which a crude casting is turned into a cost effective quality component that can meet all the standards required by the customer. In context with the casting process, fettling means the removal of unwanted metal, e.g. flashings, risers etc. • It can include processes like chipping, grinding, shot blasting etc. Fettling process involves the removal of the cores, gates, sprues, runners, risers and chipping of any of unnecessary projections on the surface of the castings

Short Blasting Machine :

After clearing the Casting in to short blast Machine Casting go to the Fettling shop.
